FAQ

FAQ

We work to ensure that detention facility decisions in our communities are lawful, transparent, and publicly accountable. We advocate for constitutional protections, environmental compliance, and responsible local governance.

1. Are you anti-ICE or anti-law enforcement?

No. We are pro-rule-of-law. Federal agencies must comply with environmental regulations, procurement standards, zoning rules, and constitutional due process. Our focus is on lawful process and community impact — not ideology.

2. Do you support violence, sabotage, or illegal activity?

No. We reject violence, property damage, harassment, and unlawful tactics. Our methods are peaceful, lawful, and disciplined: research, public comment, media engagement, coalition-building, and visible but non-violent protest.
We believe lawful civic action is not only ethical — it is strategically stronger.

3. Why are you concerned about warehouse conversions?

Large detention facilities can significantly affect local infrastructure, water and sewage systems, floodplains, traffic, emergency services, property values, and community reputation. Residents deserve full transparency and legal review before such projects move forward.

4. Who can participate?

Anyone who agrees to our principles of lawful, non-violent civic engagement. We are residents, business owners, professionals, retirees, students, and faith leaders. Agreement on every political issue is not required — agreement on constitutional process and peaceful action is.

5. What is your ultimate goal?

That any project impacting our communities complies fully with the law and withstands public scrutiny. If a project cannot meet legal, environmental, and constitutional standards, it should not proceed.

6. Are you a group of professional protesters?

No. We are neighbors with day jobs, mortgages, aging parents, college tuition bills, and early morning alarms. Most of us would much rather be doing literally anything else.
But when decisions with long-term consequences are made without transparency or legal rigor, showing up peacefully becomes part of responsible citizenship.
We bring seriousness to the work - and humanity to each other.
